The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially announced the recruitment for 13,735 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) positions for the year 2025. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Educational Qualification:
    Candidates must hold a Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university, or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government, as of 31st December 2024. Candidates in their final year/semester of graduation are also eligible to apply, but they must provide proof of graduation completion by 31st December 2024 if shortlisted for an interview.

  2. Age Limit:
    Candidates should be between 20 and 28 years of age as of 1st April 2024.

      • OBC/MOBC candidates: 3 years
      • ST candidates: 5 years
      • PwD candidates: 10 years


Selection Process

The selection process for the SBI Clerk 2025 consists of three main stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination (Phase I)

    • English Language: 30 questions – 30 marks (20 minutes)
    • Numerical Ability: 35 questions – 35 marks (20 minutes)
    • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions – 35 marks (20 minutes)
    • Total: 100 questions – 100 marks (1 hour)
    • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.

    The Preliminary exam is qualifying in nature and will shortlist candidates for the Main Examination.

  2. Main Examination (Phase II)

    • General/Financial Awareness: 50 questions – 50 marks (35 minutes)
    • General English: 40 questions – 40 marks (35 minutes)
    • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 questions – 50 marks (45 minutes)
    • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 questions – 60 marks (45 minutes)
    • Total: 190 questions – 200 marks (2 hours 40 minutes)
    • Negative Marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer.

    Candidates must score the minimum qualifying aggregate marks set by SBI to proceed. There are no sectional cutoffs.

  3. Local Language Proficiency Test
    Candidates will need to provide proof of having studied the local language (from their 10th or 12th standard mark sheet). Those who do not meet this requirement will have to take a Local Language Proficiency Test, which is qualifying in nature. Failure to clear it will result in disqualification.
